Our Story
The world is fundamentally changing. We are in the midst of a technological revolution that will impact the lives we live today and the lives we haven’t even imagined.
For this revolution to be successful, we need the technology and platforms that will fuel change to meet the moment, and enable us to rapidly build a cleaner, greener, more efficient, and more sustainable planet.
Silicon carbide (SiC) is the foundation necessary to move us forward, but much of the industry is the same today as it was 70 years ago - producing wafers that are unable to meet the moment and handle the power needed to support the electronics revolution underway.
At Pallidus, we’re enabling the future. We are providing the platform to meet the moment by unlocking the full potential of silicon carbide in a way no one else can. Our proprietary technology platform will enable us to consistently grow high-quality silicon carbide wafers, improving customer device yields and production costs.
With the ability to customize the size, shape, and chemical properties of our SiC wafers, we are prepared to meet the needs of today’s semiconductors and those not yet imagined.
Imagine the Possibilities
With our technology, we will build an ultra-efficient world, where giant power substations are reduced to the size of an ATM machine, where electric power fuels airplanes, and where the bandwidth needed to support exponential telecommunications growth is unlimited.

Our Journey
Pallidus was founded in 2015 to disrupt the SiC market by producing high-quality SiC wafers at low cost. Based in Albany, New York, Pallidus has developed a proprietary technology platform capable of converting high-purity M-SiC™ source powder into high-quality SiC crystals with high source material utilization, consistent quality, and low cycle times.
By manufacturing silicon carbide at scale, Pallidus is further building the electrified economy and accelerating the technological revolution underway.
